Dr Didaskalu’s emphasis is on caring for the whole person. His holistic approach to dentistry looks at the well-being of the entire person rather than concentrating solely on isolated symptoms or problems. With this in mind, Dr Didaskalu understands that all our organs, glands, and the muscular system and neural system are interconnected and relate to each other. Any possible stress through a certain dental material or an infection in the mouth may create a problem in a distant part of the body.
A well-fitting, personalised mouthguard can make the world of difference when it comes to any sports-related injury. Mouthguards made by a dentist are a lot less bulky than over-the-counter mouthguards, making them a lot more comfortable to wear and play in.
A denture can be an option to help restore your smile by replacing any missing teeth, not only restoring functionality but being cosmetically appealing as well.
Tooth decay, trauma and root canal treatment (where the pulp of the tooth containing nerves and blood vessels is removed) can weaken a tooth, especially if it has a large filling. The wearing down of teeth through grinding, clenching and bruxing are also common. In these cases, a crown is often the best way to save a tooth.
Different from fillings, crowns can actually strengthen a tooth’s structure. Crowns fit over the existing tooth and replace the natural tooth, which is the part of the tooth seen above the gums. Additionally, bridges replace one or more missing teeth. They consist of one or more artificial teeth, called pontics, anchored to the natural teeth on each side of the gap, usually through crowns. If a tooth is lost through an accident or is too badly decayed to be saved otherwise, a bridge may be the treatment of choice.
Due to advanced technical development, we now can provide nearly all crowns and bridges in metal-free ceramic materials. to provide a more natural look and colour without sacrificing strength and durability.
All our materials are tested through a naturopath and - if appropriate - can be tested individually in our practice for a high degree of Biocompatibility. Materials used in Australia for Dentistry are approved by the TGA (Therapeutic Goods Administration). Further testing on more subtle levels reveals big differences in biocompatibility of different materials.
If possible, we avoid the use of metals in the mouth. Metals, in general, can be an amplifier/antenna for electro smog we are exposed to (Wi-Fi, mobile phones, Smart Meters, etc.). Instead, we advocate the use of composites (white fillings) and ceramic materials. New ceramic materials are very strong and are the most biocompatible material we have for use in the mouth.

We remove amalgam fillings (amalgam contains ca. 50 percent Mercury) in an environmentally friendly way that is safe for the patient and staff with the support of German and Swedish devices and techniques.
We also offer a cleansing procedure to remove mercury out of your system with the help of natural supplements and homoeopathic remedies and in cooperation with naturopaths and holistic medical practitioners.
We can help you to improve your smile and the appearance of your teeth. A combination of lifestyle and personal factors can result in teeth showing various faults or blemishes over the years. Misaligned teeth, gaps, irregular-formed teeth, staining, chips, cracks, broken down restorations and age can all contribute to an unsightly appearance of teeth and could lower your personal self-confidence.
Porcelain veneers, direct composite veneers or bonding of white composite material onto the tooth surface (often requires only minimal preparation of teeth) and teeth whitening (bleaching) will improve the appearance of your teeth and your smile.
We use Ozone in our practice to kill bacteria in cavities and inflamed areas of the mouth. With Ozone, we treat the cause of dental disease - ozone kills bacteria, viruses and fungi nearly instantly and aids as a complementary method.
